Louie A. Ruiz

Senior Partner

I want clients to know they can count on me, and that we take care of them as a team. But I’m a straight shooter. I don’t oversell anything.

Louie A. Ruiz handles a variety of complex estate planning, probate, conservatorship, and guardianship matters starting with the same personalized approach. He listens, asks questions, and listens again to discern the client’s full range of needs. Then he formulates plans and explains the options to allow clients to make educated decisions about the best way to proceed forward, whether working to resolve a current dispute or create a plan to avoid problems in the future.

“From the outset,” he explains, “I want clients to know they can count on me, and that we take care of them as a team. But I’m a straight shooter. I don’t oversell anything. The more we work the case, the more we gather evidence, the more we prepare, the more likely it is that we will prevail because we’re doing everything we can. So, while I can’t guarantee an outcome, I can guarantee that I will work very hard to get clients what they want, and I can guarantee that my team is doing the best to raise the probability of success.”

Known as an experienced, passionate, and aggressive litigator for clients in court, Louie takes the most practical approach possible. His preparation for trial often enables him to receive stellar results for clients negotiating outside the courtroom.

Louie handles the full spectrum of estate planning and probate issues. He works with individuals and families to educate them on their options and prepare plans to reach their goals, protect their interests, and avoid conflicts in the future. When problems arise such as mistakes in administering a trust, creating a will, or establishing guardianship or conservatorship, Louie focuses on finding the best options for resolutions that satisfy clients’ goals without unnecessary delays or complications.

Before focusing his practice on trusts, probate, estate planning, and related litigation in LA, Louie litigated cases in other multi-faceted areas of law, including employment law. This gives him a broad perspective of the ways family financial matters fit into the broader picture when it comes to preventing and resolving disputes.

Fluent in Spanish, Louie enjoys serving the needs of the community, including sponsoring young pro boxers. He enjoys spending time with his family, including his two dogs. He stays physically and mentally fit with boxing as his favorite form of exercise.
